Death Cab for Cutie revealed their brand new track “Million Dollar Loan,” the opening salvo in a project that is 30-day and recorded by performers for the Trump-free America.”

And much more are among the list of music artists that have recorded initial compositions for the very first week of this Dave Eggers-curated 1 month, 30 tracks, that will release a brand new track every day until Election Day. R.E.M. will also uncover a “never-before-released live song” during the project’s very first week.
Aside from the track’s video that is lyric which comes with a wall surface being built brick-by-brick across the mogul, Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard penned a declaration describing the motivation behind the track, along with an imagined discussion between Sean Hannity and Trump making enjoyable for the track.
“Lyrically, ‘Million Dollar Loan’ deals with a very tone deaf minute in Donald Trump’s ascent towards the Republican nomination. While campaigning in New Hampshire this past year, he attempted to throw himself being a self-made man by claiming he built his fortune in just a ‘small loan of a million bucks’ from their father,” Gibbard wrote.
“Not just has this declaration been shown to be wildly untrue, he had been so flippant about any of it. It undoubtedly disgusted me. Donald Trump has over and over over repeatedly demonstrated that he’s unworthy for the honor and duty to be President associated with the united states, plus in no method, shape or type represents just just what this nation certainly represents. He could be beneath us.”
